What the standard model calls CMB is not a fossil, but an invisible omnipresent quantum substrate of the universe we call GRID.

When non-geometric GRID elements ([UG]) are mature, their geometry ([NUG]) emerges locally. (see also [Arrow of Emergence]). This happens at the centres of galaxies — what the ΛCDM mistakes for never-observed black holes.

Geometry creates a pressure on the GRID.
Gravity has, therefore, no quantum carrier. One liter of water is sufficient to measure it.
