L’ignorance porte à croire et à prier,
la connaissance à prier de croire.

This text stems from a complete work: UG.NUG, the most coherent reading of the universe deposited on Zenodo:👉doi:20644064 and readable also on this site. It is an equation-free model that reads the universe as it is and rests on only three points.
It seems to be the only ever proposed model that presents no apparent paradoxes or contradictions. A short version exists 👉doi:.21333841 and readable also on this site.

COSMOLOGY

Of the GRID (Global Reference In Dynamics)

Last modified: 2026-09-03

Faraday rejected the idea of empty space, insisting that a minimal presence must always exist. The CMB — omnipresent, uniform, and indelible — directly confirms this intuition. Instead of recognizing it as the universe’s permanent substrate, it was interpreted as fossil radiation, a conceptual mistake with lasting consequences.

This presence plays exactly the role Faraday anticipated: a diffuse, coherent support in which emerging geometric objects float and maintain their stability. Without it, the universe would collapse.

Faraday argued that lines of force exist even without matter — not as an ether, but as the minimal presence required for electromagnetic phenomena. His intuition anticipated the non‑trivial quantum vacuum, the need for ontological support, and the impossibility of true emptiness.

  • Primary energy allows everything to exist and imposes simple laws:

straight → inertia; curved → gravity; orbit → equilibrium; fall → gradient; collision → interaction.

This unnamed presence is what Faraday could not name: the GRID — Global Reference In Dynamics.

The GRID is the persistent, universal presence revealed by the CMB Its roles vary with context:

  • CMB= GRID when referring to the permanent omnipresent background,
  • Primary energy when referring to the coherence it maintains,
  • GRID when acting as regulator, engine of emergence, or filter enabling motion and supporting geometry.

The GRID is pre-geometric. It has no form, position, or measurable dimension. Space is not a container in which it sits, but a consequence of geometry. And geometry emerges from the GRID. The GRID is therefore not "before" space in time, but prior to it in order: it is the condition that makes space possible.

Everything that moves interacts with the GRID. Fast rotation leaves a dynamic imprint, producing friction — the magnetic field — just like a dynamo. Gravity is the static imprint; inertia is the dynamic one.

A gravitational wave that ripples the GRID in place of a wave in a nonexistent mathematical spacetime.

Modern physics forbids mass for W and Z bosons to preserve gauge symmetry, yet experiments show they are massive. The Higgs mechanism was added to bypass this contradiction. With the GRID, inertia comes from deformation of the GRID around objects, eliminating the need for mass and resolving the paradox.

From the primordial stage onward, the GRID enables emergence (UG → NUG). UG contains particles and primary energy without geometry; NUG contains geometric objects. The GRID filters UG objects, organizes them into pre‑geometric structures, and provides a non‑geometric phase space allowing them to evolve toward NUG.

  • The GRID binds the phase of emergence:
  • Phase 1 → Phase 2: stabilizing nuclei (gravity).
  • Phase 2 → Phase 3: enabling dynamic interactions (magnetic imprint).

Without the GRID, UG objects could never assemble into NUG structures.

Once objects emerge, the GRID maintains stability through inertia and gravity. Inertia is a deformation of the GRID; gravity is its static imprint. Orbits are equilibria between these deformations.

The GRID preserves the Order of emergence — the Arrow of Emergence — acting as the engine of the cosmic sequence without timekeeping. It bridges UG and NUG by translating non‑geometric properties into geometric ones.

Thus the GR`ID is:

  • the physical substrate (primary energy),
  • the mediator between UG and NUG (filter, bridge),
  • the guarantor of cosmic Order (Arrow of Emergence).

It resolves the paradoxes of the Big Bang paradigm while preserving a non‑anthropocentric reading of the universe.

Prediction — Constancy of c

If a space‑based interferometric mission (at 1 AU from the Sun) were to measure no systematic deviation in the speed of light compared with the terrestrial value, after correcting for known relativistic effects, then the idea of a local dependence of c on the GRID potential would be refuted.
